This week’s huddle is a great one. Do you find yourself hesitating to chase a dream because of what people will think? Do you live in a shell of yourself because you think everyone is concerned with your life?
If you do, then this video will do you wonders!
Now, let us break down the topics expressed in this motivational video.
Our Innate Nature to be Loved and Accepted.
It is in our human nature to surround ourselves with loved ones. Sometimes to the extent of living a life that is not true to us. Constantly seeking the acceptance of others will result in living a life that is unfulfilling and will never make the most important person happy… YOU!
Ask yourself this question, would you be happy with your life if it were to end tomorrow? If you’re not, then what steps are you taking to change it! The first step is to be yourself and to quit worrying about what other people think of you. They can’t make you happy like you can!
“We would worry less about what others think of us if we realized how seldom they do”- Ethel Barrett.
When we worry about what other people think we are essentially building a wall between what we want and how we’ll get there. It is a mental block that holds us from being truly happy. The reality is that most people don’t care about you as much as you think.
Humans are egoistic in nature and don’t care about most things that don’t directly impact them. In short, most people are so focused on themselves they probably didn’t see you trip over that rock or walk straight into that pole.
Small Steps Go A Long Way
Success doesn’t come from the few major decisions we make in life, in fact, it is the opposite! Success comes from the smallest, easy decisions we make correctly every day throughout our lives. You can’t build without a foundation. Setting a brick down each day will pay off in the long run!
Today I challenge you to focus on the small things. Make your bed, sweat a little bit, or pick up a book, whatever brick you can lay down today will help you a year from now just be consistent in your approach!
